REAR PARKING CAMERA
The rear camera with Split View technology activates automatically when reverse gear is engaged and shows you what's behind you on the display. The system also shows you virtual lines to help you park.
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION SYSTEM
The traffic sign recognition system automatically uses the front camera to read no-overtaking zones and speed limits that you are driving through. These are then also displayed on the on-board computer. This means you won't miss any important information - even if you didn't notice it at first glance. If you exceed the speed limit, a warning also appears on the on-board computer.
PRE-COLLISION ASSIST
In certain traffic situations and depending on the speed of the vehicle, only an evasive manoeuvre can prevent a potentially serious accident. Pre-collision assist serves as an active steering assistant so that you can safely carry out an evasive manoeuvre in such a stressful situation. It gives the impulse to swerve to the left or right. The system recognises this and calculates additional steering support for the evasive manoeuvre in fractions of a second. If Pre-collision Assist has already been activated and braking has been initiated, the brakes are released so that full steering force is available.
DRIVER ALERTNESS MONITORING
If the system detects signs of drowsiness, the on-board computer will also warn you acoustically and prompt you to take a break.
HILL START ASSISTANT
Hill Start Assist prevents rolling back when starting off on a hill. The system maintains brake pressure for an additional 2.5 seconds, giving you more time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator. This can be very useful when starting off on slippery surfaces.
